I finally got a chance to go fishing with my new A4 setup a couple weeks ago at my secret stash stream outside of Talkeetna, Alaska. I was expecting to be really rusty after a winter with no fishing. However, right from the get-go I was placing my streamers and buggers right where I wanted them. I was also able to cast through a pretty steady wind (something I have always struggled with). Being and avid skier and snowboarder, my best comparison is that these rods have a lot of pop and loading action that sling the line out like a higher performance ski or snowboard loading up for a hard high speed turn. I have already recommended the A4 to a friend who is in the market for a new setup. Here is a picture of the first fish ever caught on my A4 setup. Thanks again for your great product and outstanding customer service. Jensen Haebler

"I was lucky enough to attack and fight with many pike (about 50) of variable length between 80 and 90 cm. The A3 9'0" #8 Fly Rod has performed very well especially in combat with a really big pike in the boat which unfortunately was unhooked, when using single barbless hooks these inconveniences may occur, are part of the game and are still happy for what happened during the adventure. I thank you very much for the great opportunity you gave me with the Aleka A3 Fly Rod, A4 Fly Reel and line. I shall be forever grateful. Massimiliano Nepori

Blithfield Reservoir on Sunday June 30th – Report by Aleka pro-team member Merv Amos In the inaugural event of a 4 man team Loch style boat competition held on Blithfield Reservoir on Sunday June 30th in blustery conditions the competition was a great success. Thanks mainly to the assistance of ALEKA Sports with their backing of the event along with the organisation provided by members of Foremark Flyfishers. 9 teams of 4 participated and the event was fished to a 6 fish bag limit and produced a cracking overall rod average of 4.6. Winners of the event were ‘The Falcons’ who all used dry fly tactics and ALEKA A8 10 foot 5 weights to produce a 24 fish team bag that weighed 42 lb 9 oz. The team consisted of Dixie Baxter, Rob Wheeldon, Malcolm Sargent and ‘Aleka pro-team member’ Merv Amos.

Hello my name is Ryan Nolis and I bought a few rods from your website last summer. First off let me say I absolutely love your rods! I have fished Sage, Loomis and just about everything else and I prefer your rods. I live in Cooper Landing Alaska right on the Kenai River and fish between 6 and 7 days a week in the summer. I have also let a few of my guide buddies up here on the Kenai use my rods and they like them as well. I will keep spreading the word about you guys! Thank you, Ryan Nolis
