My name is Massimiliano Nepori and fly fisherman for 15 years. I currently own a cane Aleka A3 # 9 feet 8 and reel A4 7/8. Both products are of excellent quality. I will use these my equipment in July in Swedish Lapland to go fishing for pike. greetings max

Just received my new A3 #7 rod, and was more than a little pleased, the rod is fantastic the delivery time was good (next day). Only little gripe I have is the free fly selection was not a selection as they were all the same! Though the flies were of good quality. I will be buying a new reel soon and Aleka is the choice I will make.

I already owned 2 fly-fishing outfits and wasn't really looking for another when I received an email about Aleka rods being on sale. I ended up buying an A3 and was amazed how quickly it shipped from the UK to West Virginia. I was so impressed that a few days later I bought a reel, line, backing, stocked up on leaders, and bought some flies & wooly buggers. All of this arrived quickly too. Very impressive service. I'm going to continue to buy from Aleka and hope that I can use my Rewards points to fish in Scotland someday.

Used my new A3 two piece for the last three days in some no wind to very windy conditions and performed beautifully in all conditions. Certainly a lot of rod for the price. I should also mention fast delivery and excellent response time by phone and email regarding my purchase.

The rod arrived when promised. I've only just started fly fishing and this rod is a quantum lead ahead of the one I was using in terms of quality and in the way it has instantly improved my casting, although there is still much improvement to be made in that direction. Unfortunately the day I went fishing last week the fish were not in a playful mood and only one was caught at the lake and not by me.

My first cast using my new 4 piece rod surprised me, I could not believe how smoothly and far my line went out across the river. A great product!

I bought this rod because of the good reports I have read about it and because my mates all have Hardy rods . I wanted something to be as good as a Hardy but without the price tag this rod is every bit as good if not better it is the best rod I have ever had and can throw a line a great distance with little effort and great control it will lay a small dry at short distance with great accuracy a fantastic rod for large waters or small streams a pleasure to hold. First day out today with the Aleka A3 7wt 9’6”. Well, up against the Hardy Demon of the same weight and length, it proved astonishing. It was able to cut through the head wind much easier, load quicker and deliver the fly to the exact distance. It wasn’t a like for like test, as I had different reels and the A3 loaded with a RIO midge tip and dry fly, while the Hardy was loaded with sinking line and lures, but still I was able to control the A3 at every cast. Sorry no pictures of fish, only got one bite, and yes it rained! But I will be recommending the A3 to other friends, and may replace the Hardy with another Aleka? Recently purchased A3 9' 9# with accompanying reel etc. Hoping to use in the next few days. The pick up and balance feels great so looking forward to trying it out.

I am pretty new to fly fishing so I didn't want to spend a lot of money for a high dollar setup. When I saw that Aleka was selling combos for around $200 I immediately investigated and found that they have good products. Once I received my A3 combo I found that it performs great for both trout fishing and lake fishing for bass and panfish. I would definitely recommend this item.

I have had the 6 weight rod outfit for 2 months now and I have caught over 50 fish already on this fantastic rod...

Fished the "Lower Downduff " beat of the River Findhorn yesterday. Using my A3 10' rod and matching reel, fishing a WF 8 line I hooked and played a lively salmon approx 8lb in weight. The rod and reel handled the fish no problem. Very pleased, with product and the fish was safely returned to the river. Dave Carson
