Had my A4 6# rod Friday I fished all day Saturday, lake Brenig, Wales. Fantastic rod, my mate has a Sage 700 pound. It preforms just as good. Casts into the wind like it's not there.

Bought an A4 10 ft 7# 4 piece for boat fishing as I needed another rod that broke down in a secure tube into a manageable length. Tested the rod this week from the bank at my local reservoir. The weather was awful with a strong swirling wind. The rod was very impressive throwing a long line effortlessly despite the conditions. Dave Southern, Bolton UK re A4 9,6 8wt Hi all, I recently purchased the A4 9'6 8wt and I can’t stress how pleased I am with both the appearance and performance of this rod not to mention the customer care given by John at ALEKA. I have to say that the purchasing and the delivery of this item were 1st class, all lived up to the description made by ALEKA Sports. I took delivery within 72 hours of ordering, taking into account that I had ordered on a Saturday afternoon. It was well packed against any damage, and once opened, a real gem to look at, everything was as stated in the original advertisement and then some, it certainly lives up to the description given, now for the serious stuff! Out on my local reservoir the next day with two mates, caught 3 rainbow, lovely action, great casting. I don’t have expensive rods but this baby made me feel rich, my mates have both a Sage and a Hardy’s but agreed after sampling that the A4 was up there in that bracket. I highly recommend anyone to try one, my first purchase from ALEKA but defiantly not my last, PS the 10 free flies are absolutely spot on also. Take a bow ALEKA first class service, delivery, product, and result a very happy angler!

The A4 10' #7 rod really surprised me, very well made and most of all a very nice action. Great value for money. I will be buying another.

First day out today with the Aleka A3 7wt 9’6”. Well, up against the Hardy Demon of the same weight and length, it proved astonishing. It was able to cut through the head wind much easier, load quicker and deliver the fly to the exact distance. It wasn’t a like for like test, as I had different reels and the A3 loaded with a RIO midge tip and dry fly, while the Hardy was loaded with sinking line and lures, but still I was able to control the A3 at every cast. Sorry no pictures of fish, only got one bite, and yes it rained! But I will be recommending the A3 to other friends, and may replace the Hardy with another Aleka? Recently purchased A3 9' 9# with accompanying reel etc. Hoping to use in the next few days. The pick up and balance feels great so looking forward to trying it out.

I have had the 6 weight rod outfit for 2 months now and I have caught over 50 fish already on this fantastic rod...

I ordered a selection of flies and nymphs including rubber legged and double gold bead dressings, they arrived within a couple of days and they are top quality. Great product,great service.

Fished the "Lower Downduff " beat of the River Findhorn yesterday. Using my A3 10' rod and matching reel, fishing a WF 8 line I hooked and played a lively salmon approx 8lb in weight. The rod and reel handled the fish no problem. Very pleased, with product and the fish was safely returned to the river. Dave Carson

Ordered the Aleka A3 10' 8 Weight rod and the A3 matching reel. Had a good chat to the guy on the phone before my purchase as I want to use this set up for sea trout and grilse in N.E. Scotland. Tried rod on Loch Eye on wild brownies up to 2lb. Am well pleased and have no doubt it will handle those grilse. Dave Carson

A lovely looking rod that's a pleasure to use. It has plenty of backbone to shoot a fast sinking line a good distance, something I had difficulty with using my old rod. A really good value for money rod. Richard Carter.

I bought this fly vest as a warm/summer replacement for an old Patgonia mesh wading best (assuming we ever get any sustained summer!) and it's quality is every bit as good. Though closer to a full-length vest than a short wader it is light and very well-designed: not too many pockets but the pockets and attachments there are are just right. I particularly liked the waist adjustment because although I rarely zip my vests up the adjustment helps me to get the vest to sit just right. Since this was my first purchase from Aleka I also bought one of the 48 fly assortments complete with fly box. Very good value at just over 50p per fly on average AND you get the box included. Very good quality box that mimics a very much more expensive box from a well-know Japanese supplier at a fraction of the price. The whole lot was delivered very quickly despite ordering on the Jubilee weekend and arrived well-packaged and with emails to let me know it was coming. All in all - excellent service and very good products at competitive prices. What more can you want?

Awesome rod straight out off its back coupled with an A4 reel and line was catching and playing a good size fish which it handled with ease plus really good pick up and effortlessly casting even for a novice.
